An Educational Visit to DAII TV: Exploring the World of Broadcasting

Learning does not always have to take place inside the classroom. Sometimes, the most meaningful learning experiences happen when students step outside the school environment and discover the world around them firsthand.

As part of an enriching educational experience, the students of SDS Buddhis Bodhicitta had the opportunity to visit DAII TV, a national television station. The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore the world of television broadcasting, discover how a television program is produced, and experience the role of a presenter firsthand.

During the visit, the students were warmly welcomed and taken on an educational tour around the television station. They had the opportunity to explore the various television studios and broadcasting facilities, while receiving explanations about how television programs are prepared and presented to audiences.

The students were introduced to different aspects of broadcasting, including the role of presenters, the studio environment, and the process behind producing a television program. Through these explanations, students gained a better understanding that what they see on television is the result of teamwork, preparation, creativity, and communication.

One of the most exciting parts of the visit was when the students were given the opportunity to experience becoming young presenters themselves.

With great enthusiasm, the students stepped in front of the camera and tried their hands at presenting. They practiced speaking clearly, expressing themselves confidently, and delivering information in front of an audience.

For many students, this was a new and exciting experience. Standing in front of a camera may feel challenging at first, but the activity encouraged them to overcome their nervousness and build greater confidence in communicating.

Beyond introducing students to the world of broadcasting, the visit also incorporated an activity that encouraged them to express their feelings through writing.

The students were invited to write a heartfelt letter with the theme “Love for Mom.” Through this activity, they were encouraged to reflect on the love, care, sacrifices, and support they receive from their mothers.

Writing the letters gave the students an opportunity to express emotions that may not always be easy to say directly. Each letter became a personal expression of gratitude and affection, reminding students of the importance of appreciating the people who continuously support them.

This activity also highlighted the connection between communication and emotional expression. Just as a presenter needs to communicate ideas clearly to an audience, students also need to learn how to communicate their thoughts and feelings through meaningful words.

The visit to DAII TV therefore became more than simply a field trip. It was an opportunity for students to learn, explore, communicate, create, and build confidence in an authentic environment.

Through direct observation and hands-on experiences, students were able to see how the knowledge and skills they learn at school can be applied in the real world. The experience also introduced them to a field that they may not have encountered before and encouraged them to be curious about different professions and possibilities for their future.

Most importantly, the visit reminded our students that learning can happen anywhere.

From exploring a television studio, learning about broadcasting, stepping in front of a camera, to writing a heartfelt letter for their mothers, every activity became part of a meaningful learning experience.

We hope that this visit will remain a memorable experience for the students and inspire them to continue exploring the world with curiosity, confidence, creativity, and an open heart.
